MOTION PLUS DESIGN| Tokyo

I submitted two pieces to Motion Plus Design Tokyo, where motion designers were invited to create a 15-second motion work for a building facade in Shibuya. Although I didn’t end up winning, the process was incredibly fun and creatively rewarding. One entry was built with X-Particles, and the other used a series of sequential, offset liquid-pour simulations to create a rapid-fire visual rhythm (shown below).
The project was a great opportunity to play with the building’s unique window layout—treating each window as its own screen and designing animations that moved fluidly across the structure. A huge thank-you to Peter Clark for composing the beautiful musical overlays that helped bring both pieces to life.
