HOUSE OF HYPE| Neon Dreams
2024 - 2025
ROLE: art direction / animation
SOFTWARE: cinema 4d / octane / after effects / unreal engine

Hyperspace brought me on to help shape several of their immersive rooms for House of Hype in the Dubai Mall. Neon Dreams is one of the featured zones within the entertainment complex—a series of futuristic, theme driven environments built for exploration, play, and visual storytelling.
Neon Dreams is a luminous, neon-drenched micro cityscape that unfolds within the heart of the experience. The room blends bold color, glowing architectural forms, and interactive moments to create an atmosphere built for both immersion and unforgettable photo experiences. My role focused on developing visual concepts and motion elements that elevated the energy and futurism of the space, contributing to the overall world-building of the attraction.

NEON DREAMS| City Build
Chase Hochstatter and I collaborated on the redesign of a Neo-Tokyo inspired cityscape for the space; an illuminated dreamscape built to transport visitors into intimate vignettes of imagined worlds. We began by unwrapping the onsite 3D model and rebuilding the city section by section, ultimately working at a resolution exceeding 26K in length.

Our process combined 3D design and world-building: constructing architectural elements, creating high resolution still renders, and producing a series of animated micro-loops that brought individual city moments to life. Everything was then composited in After Effects, where additional post-effects and motion were layered to enhance depth, atmosphere, and immersion.
The cityscape served as the gateway into the broader dreamscape journey, setting the stage before visitors transitioned into a sequence of distinct, otherworldly dream worlds.

NEON DREAMS| Dream Transformations
The city build acted as a portal into more than seven distinct dream worlds before ultimately returning viewers to a “Neo Tokyo reality.” Each world offered its own surreal identity: some drew from op-art, immersing guests in bold patterns and saturated color; others unfolded through sweeping particle systems of sand and digital flora that washed across the environment. Glitches and datamoshed textures pulsed through the streets, while an array of 3D simulations cascaded down the walls of Neon Dreams...Each sequence manifesting as a unique “street takeover” that transformed the city in unexpected ways.
